Competition for best media report on the EU integration process (extended application deadline)

The Nordic Support for Progress of North Macedonia project calls all media and journalists to submit their printed, electronic (TV and Radio) and online media reports on EU accession related issues. The deadline for application is extended until 30 September 2021.

The Nordic Support for Progress of North Macedonia project calls all media and journalists that meet the conditions for participation to submit their printed, electronic (TV and Radio) and online media reports on EU accession related issues. These stories should contribute to raising awareness of the benefits of EU membership, the support from the EU in the reform process, as well as topics that are related to the improved quality of life and standards through public administration reforms, judicial system reform, improved human rights and democracy,  gender equality, environmental issues, health, culture, regional cooperation, vulnerable groups and inter-ethnic dialogue and inter-cultural cooperation. The submitted media reports should be in a printed, electronic (TV and Radio) and online format. The reports should be prepared and published in the period 15 September 2020 to 30 September 2021. 
The submitted media reports should be in line with the highest journalistic standards and can be in any form (article, story, documentary, interview etc). The submitted media reports should be authentic, original work of the author. The media reports need to be analytic journalistic work of broad public interest. 

The project will award four awards:
First place  – IT equipment in the value of 5,600 USD 
Second place  – IT equipment in the value of 4,300 USD
Third place  – IT equipment in the value of 3,000 USD

Special award for the best story published by the participants of the media training organized by the Nordic Support for Progress of North Macedonia -  IT equipment in the value of 1,700 USD.
